maxon motor establishes a subsidiary in Taiwan
The maxon motor Group is strengthening its worldwide network in the market of high-precision drives and systems with the opening of maxon motor Taiwan in Taipeh on January 1, 2008.
This move underlines the importance of the Taiwanese technology hot-spot for maxon motor, as it will create the basis for increasing growth in Taiwan by tapping into new markets. maxon motor has increased sales there by almost 40% over the past five years, and is expecting further dynamic growth in the West Pacific drive market.
maxon motor specialises in producing and developing customised precision drives of up to 500 watt output power. The product program covers brushless and brush DC motors, planetary, spur and special gearheads as well as servo-amplifiers and positioning controls. With the new subsidiary, the motor manufacturer is looking to address the needs of the Taiwanese market even quicker and more flexibly.
maxon motor has been present in the East and South-east Asian region in China, South Korea and Japan for many years. The company is also represented in Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia through official representative dealers. maxon motor Taiwan will strengthen the Group’s network even further.
