The products of maxon motor make an important contribution to active climate protection. Through the development of drive systems with an efficiency of more than 90%, the maxon technology contributes to responsible handling of natural resources.

Within the framework of its environmental management system, based on the ISO 14001:2004 environmental standard, maxon motor invests in renewable energy: Photovoltaic systems are in use both at the headquarters in Switzerland and at the production site in Germany. These systems are part of a long list of measures that are consistently implemented within the maxon group. For example, the heating and ventilation systems for production areas and offices are equipped with groundwater heat exchangers, with which most of the required energy is generated. Simultaneously the process and exhaust heat is used and fed back into the heating and cooling circuit.
