This e-learning presents the 7 steps how to select a DC motor drive system for a given application. In a first part, a thorough analysis of the drive problem and external influencing factors prepares the ground for the selection. The second part shows how to determine the motion profile and working points. We derive the key parameter that the drive system has to fulfill. In the last part the whole selection process is performed by working through a specific example.
